Celebrating 75 Years

Driven Forward by Our Enduring Vision & Legacy

Savage’s rich legacy began in Utah in 1946 when Kenneth Savage returned home from serving in the Navy in WWII and purchased a KB-5 International truck with his father, C.A. Savage. They began hauling coal, timber, and cinder block for various Customers across the state. In time, Kenneth’s younger brothers, Neal and Luke, joined the family business. After their father passed, the Savage brothers continued to grow and expand their services and built a successful company on the principles of hard work, integrity, and innovation.

Seventy-five years later, we continue to honor what the brothers created and work to live up to the high standards they set. We’ve grown to become a global provider of supply chain services for the agriculture, energy and chemical, and environmental services industries and have nearly 4,500 Team Members in over 200 locations across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia. We safely move and manage what matters—using trains, trucks, and boats, and operating at industrial facilities—to enable our Customers and Partners to Feed the World, Power Our Lives, and Sustain the Planet.

We’re guided by our founders’ Vision and Legacy that inspires us to Do the Right Thing, Find a Better Way, and Make a Difference. This includes providing opportunities for our people “to do things they never dreamed possible.” We appreciate our Team Members, past and present, who have diligently served our Customers and contributed to our shared success. And we’re grateful to work with incredible Customers and Partners and value our relationships with them.

Our strategic capabilities and operational expertise in transportation, logistics, materials handling, and other industrial services make us distinctive in the markets we serve. And our commitment to live and lead according to the principles in the Vision and Legacy, and to always put safety first, make us a trusted supply chain partner.

We’re also honored to be the 2020 Utah International Business of the Year and to be named as one of Utah’s Best Companies. Other accolades we’ve received include the 2019 Utah Ethical Leadership Award, designation as a Military Friendly® company for three consecutive years, and being selected one of America’s Safest Companies by EHS Today magazine in 2011. This recognition is a tribute to our entire team and their commitment to doing things the right way.

Our Team Members are committed to making a difference and go above and beyond to give back to the community. For years, Savage has volunteered with and supported local schools and community organizations to help make a positive difference in people’s lives.

Wherever we go and whatever we do, we’ll continue to do our best to provide value for our Team Members, Customers, and communities. By working together and building on our strong foundation, I’m confident we’ll be even better tomorrow than we are today.
