Elora López-Nandam

López-Nandam, a postdoctoral researcher at the California Academy of Sciences, is sequencing the genomes of coral to help identify resilient breeds, as rising temperatures and lower ocean pH threaten coral reefs. She's currently working on spawning new corals that will be selected for better heat tolerance.
