Tameside’s 2021 Northern Lights -Tameside Winter Celebration will feature a spectacular lantern parade weaving through the streets of Hyde Town Centre on Saturday 20th November 2021.
 
Gathering at 6pm, the spectacular lantern Parade will weave its way through Hyde Town Centre finishing at 7pm with the Town’s Christmas lights switch on.

Where to watch the parade
You can watch the lantern parade by lining the route. If you are planning to line the route we’d love for you to bring your own lantern, to light the parades way through Hyde. The map below shows the route of the parade.



What else is going on?
From 4pm you will be able to meet DRACO the Dragon – Defender of the Environment, made by the volunteers at Phantasmagoria, Draco the Dragon is a beautiful installation you will be able to see on Hyde Outdoor Market. You will also be able to meet Harry Rutherford at the outdoor maket, a famous artist from Hyde past, see if you can get him to draw one of his famous pocket sketches!


We ask that you do not attend or take part in the event if;
•             If you have any symptoms of COVID 19
•             have tested positive in the last 10 days
•             If you have arrived from a red list country in the last 10 days
•             Are over 18 yrs and 6 months and have not been double vaccinated in the UK and they have been identified as a close contact of a positive case in the last 10 days
