What is Bank On Baton Rouge?

BankOn Baton Rouge is a collaborative that brings together financial institutions, community organizations, and federal and state regulatory agencies to connect the unbanked and underbanked ALICE households in Baton Rouge and surrounding parishes to financial literacy and community resources.

This initiative helps the unbanked community open starter bank accounts and enter the financial mainstream. BankOn partners have access to this community and can begin educating and guiding individuals through saving, building a credit history, and investing for the future.

Bank On Engagement Opportunities

Financial Education: BankOn BR provides FREE financial education, either virtually or in-person, to you or your organization! We bring Financial Education to individuals, groups, businesses, and nonprofit organizations on topics including budgeting, credit scores, and fraud prevention.

Community Outreach: We work with community partners to provide banking opportunities to low and moderate-income households. We would love to be a part of your community engagement events and resource fairs.

Second Chance Banking: Second chance banking offers individuals the opportunity to open bank accounts that they have lost in the past. Causes of lost bank accounts can include missing bill payments, overdraft histories, and negative balances.
