MOYER FOURTH IN BAD BOY 98 OPENER!
May
12, 2024 --- Billy Moyer and
Cooney Motorsports invaded Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove,
Arkansas on May 10-11 for the 'Bad Boy 98' weekend. In the $5,000
to win Comp Cams Super Dirt Series weekend opener on Friday, Billy
ran second in his heat race prior to advancing up to fourth in the
30-lap main event to trail only victor Tyler Stevens, Stormy Scott,
and Peyton Freeman. In Saturday's $12,000 to win weekend finale,
Billy once again placed second in his heat race, but a tangle with
Ashton Winger and a subsequent disagreement under caution relegated
the Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer to a twenty-third place effort.

28, 2024 --- Next up on the
racing calendar for Billy Moyer was a visit to Smoky Mountain Speedway
in Maryville, Tennessee on Saturday, April 27. The Hunt the Front
Super Dirt Series sanctioned the annual running of the 'King of
the Mountain' and 44 competitors signed into the pit area to do
battle for the $15,000 first place prize money. Making his debut
for Cooney Motorsports, Billy qualified fifteenth quickest in Group
B during time trials before running eighth in both his heat race
and his B-Main. Unfortunately, "Mr. Smooth" was unable
to make the start in the 50-lapper that was ultimately won by his

14, 2024 --- Billy Moyer,
out of Batesville, Arkansas, has teamed up with long-time friend
Todd Cooney and Cooney Motorsports to pilot the Karl Chevrolet #21
for a limited 2024 schedule starting at Arrowhead Speedway on April
26th with the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series.
Cooney and Moyer will embark on a new journey with the #21 team
running crown jewel races including the Dirt Late Model Dream, World
100, Knoxville Late Model Nationals, Dirt Track World Championship,
and many more.

27, 2024 --- The Don Shaw
Racing team and driver Billy Moyer closed out the 'Early Thaw' miniseries
tonight at Central Arizona Raceway in Casa Grande, Arizona, as a
$3,000 paycheck was on the line. Billy moved up two spots in his
heat race to finish third and later started the 35-lap main event
from the outside of the fourth row. The Batesville, Arkansas native
then picked off two more cars during the A-Main to leave Casa Grande

A $2,500 top prize was up for grabs at Central Arizona
Raceway tonight in the fifth leg of the 'Early Thaw' miniseries.
Billy Moyer ran sixth in his heat race and fifth in his B-Main prior
to starting the headliner from the inside of the eleventh row. Unfortunately,
Billy was relegated to a twenty-fifth place effort in the final
rundown tonight in Casa Grande, Arizona.
January 25, 2024 ---
After a few days off, Billy Moyer and Don Shaw Racing
rolled back into Central Arizona Raceway in Casa Grande, Arizona
for round four of the 'Early Thaw' miniseries. Billy picked off
four competitors during his heat race to finish fourth and later
started the 25-lap feature from the outside of the fourth row as
well. The popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" then passed
a trio of competitors during the A-Main to trail only $2,000 victor
Tyler Peterson, Clayton Stuckey, Dustin Strand, and Ricky Weiss
in fifth.

of season-opening triumphs, Billy Moyer and the Don Shaw Racing
team returned to action tonight at Central Arizona Raceway in Casa
Grande, Arizona. Billy drove past two competitors during his heat
race to finish fourth and later started the $3,000 to win headliner
from the outside of the fifth row. "Mr. Smooth" then steered
past eight competitors during the 35-lap feature to record an impressive
runner-up performance behind only race winner Tyler Peterson!

Billy Moyer went two-for-two in the 'Early Thaw' at Central Arizona
Raceway in 2024, as the #42s team emerged victorious tonight to
collect the $2,500 first place prize! Billy picked up a heat race
win before reaching the front of the feature field on the ninth
circuit from his eighth starting spot. The Batesville, Arkansas
standout then held the point until the checkers in the 30-lapper
to rack up his second triumph in as many nights over runner-up Ricky
Weiss, Austin Kuehl, Clay Stuckey, and Dustin Bluhm!

28, 2023 --- Dirt Late Model
Hall of Famer Billy Moyer wrapped up his 2023 campaign in triumphant
fashion on Friday night, October 27 by collecting his 850th career
win at Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee, Oklahoma! In the inaugural
'Hayden Ross Memorial,' Billy knocked down the third quickest time
overall during Super Late Model qualifying before securing a victory
in his heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the second
row in the 25-lap main event, Billy nabbed the lead from Logan Martin
on lap 21 and held the point for the final five circuits to land
the $6,600 windfall. Finishing behind "Mr. Smooth" in
the unsanctioned contest was Martin, Jeff Roth, Kylan Garner, and

22, 2023 --- Billy Moyer,
of Batesville, Arkansas, was once again behind the wheel of a #48
racecar over the October 20-21 weekend at Super Bee Speedway in
Chatham, Louisiana. The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series sanctioned their
final two events of the year at Super Bee and a $5,000 winner's
check was up for grabs in the opener. On Friday, Billy placed sixth
in his heat race, won his B-Main, and later climbed seven spots
during the 40-lap feature en route to a steady ninth place performance.
In Saturday's $10,000 to win 'Spooky 50,' Billy won his heat race
before steering to an impressive fourth place effort in the 50-lapper
behind only victor Tyler Stevens, Kyle Beard, and Dillon McCowan!

15, 2023 --- Billy Moyer was
back in action on October 13-14 at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian,
Mississippi. The unsanctioned 'Coors Light Fall Classic' was on
tap and the weekend started with twin $3,000 to win preliminary
programs for the Super Late Models on Friday night. Driving a #48
machine, Billy timed in sixth fastest in Group B during qualifying
before winning his heat race and placing fourth in the 30-lap feature
behind only victor Josh Putnam, Morgan Bagley, and Cade Dillard.
On Saturday evening with a $15,000 top prize up for grabs, Billy
ran second in his loaded heat race, but was unfortunately involved
in a tangle on a lap 12 restart and officially retired from the

7, 2023 --- Tim Lance Racing
and driver Billy Moyer invaded the legendary Brownstown Speedway
in Brownstown, Indiana on Friday night, October 6 for the 40th edition
of the 'Hoosier Dirt Classic.' The World of Outlaws CASE Construction
Late Model Series presided over the action at the 1/4-mile, semi-banked
oval and a $10,000 top prize was up for grabs. Billy grabbed the
second transfer spot through his heat race and later started the
40-lap feature from the outside of the third row. "Mr. Smooth"
then unfortunately ran into issues and was an early retiree that

24, 2023 --- Billy Moyer and
the Tim Lance Racing team dipped south to Magnolia Motor Speedway
in Columbus, Mississippi on September 22-23 for the annual running
of the 'Cotton Pickin 100.' On Friday night in the $4,000 to win
opener, Billy ran fourth in his heat race prior to advancing six
spots during the 40-lapper to claim a solid ninth place performance.
At "The Mag" on Saturday evening with a $12,000 paycheck
up for grabs, Billy earned Fast Time honors overall during COMP
Cams Super Dirt Series qualifying before finishing second in his
heat race and twenty-third in the 60-lap feature event. Complete

KNOXVILLE NATIONALS

17, 2023 --- The 19th Annual
Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals was held held at the sprawling
Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa from September 14-16. The Lucas
Oil Late Model Dirt Series tripleheader at the Hawkeye State speedplant
started with a pair of $7,000 to win preliminary programs. On Thursday
evening in the opener, Billy Moyer placed seventh in his heat race,
second in his B-Main, and fourteenth in the 25-lap main event. In
a similar show on Friday night, Billy ran sixth in his loaded heat
race prior to winding up fifth in his B-Main after hitting the wall
hard on the final circuit.
At Knoxville on Saturday, a whopping $50,000 winner's check was
up for grabs on Championship Night. Unfortunately, Billy was a scratch
for the evening after taking a hard hit on Friday that mangled his

10, 2023 --- Following a rain-out
on Friday night at 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Arkansas, a $5,000
winner's check was up for grabs with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series
on Saturday evening, September 9 at Boothill Speedway in Greenwood,
Louisiana. Billy Moyer timed in fifth quickest in Group A during
the qualifying session before running second in heat race action.
After starting fifth on the grid in the 40-lap feature event, Billy
fought hard for a top five showing before winding up sixth at the
