About Schmidt
ray schmidt, founder
Ray grew up on his family farm raising 4-H and FFA pigs for county and state fairs. He attended Iowa State University and graduated in 2017 with degrees in Marketing, Management, and Graphic Design.
Starting Farm Story Meats in 2018 was an initiative to help make his family’s pork available to everyone, while keeping the customer informed on exactly where it comes from.
Ray will be likely be the one taking your orders, shipping boxes, or dropping them off at your house. He manages the marketing, packs each box, and hand signs each order with his quality seal of approval.

JESSICA SCHMIDT, CUSTOMER RELATIONS
Jess grew up in Florida but came to Ames to attend Iowa State University and major in Business Management. Farm Story Meats hired Jess in May 2020 to assist with customer service and order fulfillment during a period of extreme growth.
Jess now manages the Farmers Market side of the business as well as recipe development, social media, and business expansion.
